Neasa Long qualified from University College Dublin with a B.Sc (Hons) Degree in Physiotherapy. She gained a broad range of experience working in The Bon Secours Hospital, Cork and in private practices in Cork city and county before setting up Neasa Long Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic in Douglas. Neasa has extensive experience in assessing musculoskeletal problems and sports injuries, being involved with athletes at club, county and national level. Neasa specialises in the treatment of spinal musculoskeletal problems and has completed post-graduate courses in Manipulative Therapy with the McKenzie Institute, UK, in the assessment and treatment of mecnaical disorders and discal derangement of the spine. She is also qualified as a licensed Myofascial trigger Point Dry Needling clinician. Neasa has also completed post-graduate courses in the area of women’s health and has developed specialist knowledge and considerable experience in the effective treatment and management of incontinence and pre- and post-natal care. She is a member of the Clinical Interest Groups for Chartered Physiotherapists in Orthopaedic Medicine and also in Women’s Health. She is regularly requested to prepare medico-legal reports and provide expert witness evidence for the Courts in personal injury cases, particularly of a musculoskeletal and orthopaedic nature.
