Occupational Health
A significant proportion of referrals to our clinic are for the assessment and treatment of Occupational Health Disorders arising from injuries/accidents in the workplace and or ergonomic/postural issues.
In addition to a detailed physical examination at the clinic to diagnose the problem or cause of injury, an on-site evaluation of the work station can be undertaken by the physiotherapist on request or if same is required to facilitate recovery and prevent recurrence of the injury or condition.
Treatment Plan
Aspects of effective physiotherapy management of Occupational Health Disorders at our clinic include the following:
- Assessment and Treatment of work related injuries
- Advice on work related injury prevention
- Ergonomic assessment of work stations
- Advice on back care and manual handling in the workplace
- Liaison with Health and Safety and Occupational Health Department personnel
- Provision of Physiotherapy reports and Expert Witness Evidence if required
