What Do We Offer?
At Neasa Long Partnership Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic, we offer physiotherapy treatment for a wide range of Musculoskeletal, Sports Injury, Rheumatological, Neurological and Respiratory disorders in children and adults. we also provide a Home Visit Service, both to private residential homes and nursing homes if getting to our clinic is difficult or not possible for our patients. We also offer physiotherapy treatment in more specialised areas such as Occupational Health, Women’s Health and Incontinence and Personal Injuries.
Our Process
Following an initial assessment, the nature and extent of the injury/problem will be explained and an appropriate treatment plan will be established. A detailed assessment will be carried out on your first visit to the clinic. The physiotherapist will ask questions relating to the nature of the injury or condition and relevant aspects of medical history, leisure activities and work. The assessment will include an examination of the relevant joint and soft tissue structures, posture and biomechanics.
Additional Treatment
In addition to manual hands-on therapy, advice regarding exercise, physical activity restriction/cessation and self management strategies may also form an integral part of treatment and rehabilitation at our clinic. Treatment may include manual joint mobilisation and manipulation, soft tissue techniques including massage, the application of electrotherapy modalities (Ultrasound, Laser, Interferential Therapy), the prescription of exercises, ergonomic and postural advice and the prescription of supports, equipment and orthotic devices to facilitate recovery and prophylaxis if indicated. We feel that the prevention of recurrence of injury and dysfunction is of equal importance to the implementation of effective treatment strategies and we aim to ensure that our patients are optimally prepared to maintain a symptom-free status following discharge from our clinic.
